LSE downs by 11.28 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 11.28 points on the opening of week, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5346.15 points and closed at 5334.87 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 428,400 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.122 million shares, showing a downward slide of 693,600 shares. While, out of the total 57 active scrips, only three moved up, 14 shed values and 40 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited, Silkbank Limited (Saudi) and NIB Bank Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Re 0.30, Re 0.03 and Re 0.02 respectively.

Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, United Bank Limited and Byco Petroleum Pakistan lost their per share value by Rs 4.32, Rs 3.03 and Re 0.40 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 187,500 shares, Worldcall Telecom Limited with 75,000 shares and Pace Pakistan Limited with 49,000 shares.
