More rain likely in Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab
Meteorological department said that Karachi, Larkana, Mirpurkhas and other districts of Sindh are expected to receive more rain, which gives rise to fears of further aggravating the flood situation in these areas by overflowing rivers and drains.
Heavy rain with thunderstorm lashed Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Punjab, Khyber PakhtunKhaw, Sindh and Balochistan during the last 24 hours.
Maximum 36 millimetre (mm) rain was recorded in Sahiwal during the last 24 hours. While Malam Jabba received 28 mm rain, Parachinar 25 mm, Lasbela 23 mm, Mithi 15 mm Saido Sharif 13 mm, Hunza 11 mm, Gilgit 8 mm, Binji 7 mm, Zhob, Kalam 6 mm, Badin and Chilas 5 mm during the last 24 hours.
Maximum temperature of 40 degree centigrade was recorded on Friday in Naukandi. While temperatures of other cities are including Islamabad 32 C, Lahore 37 C, Quetta 27 C, Muzaffarabad 28 C, Multan 35 C, Karachi 34 C, Peshawar 28 C, Gilgit 20 C, Murree 23 C and Faisalabad 35 C.
