LSE downs by 49.27 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 49.27 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5554.12 points and closed at 5504.85 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.211 million shares to close against previous turnover of 5.581 million shares, showing a downward slide of 3.369 million shares.

While, out of the total 78 active scrips, only eight moved up, 19 shed values and 51 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Mari Petroleum Company, Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited and Nishat Mills Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 17.11, Rs 2.32 and Rs 1.94.

Pak Elektron Limited, Pakistan Refinery Limited and First Capital Equities lost their per share value by Rs 3.02, Rs 1.55 and Rs 1.52 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 1.331 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 483,500 shares and Pace Pakistan Limited with 192,000 shares.
