European stock markets drop at open

LONDON: Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.7 percent to 6,293.27 points.

In the eurozone awaiting regional data, Frankfurt's DAX 30 slipped 0.1 percent to 11,105.92 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.2 percent compared with Friday's close to open at 4,901.68.
