LONDON: Europe's main stock markets rose at the start of trading on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.4 percent to 6,355.14 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 advanced 0.4 percent to 11,123.81 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.3 percent to open at 4,929.34 compared with Thursday's close.

The region's equities had also rebounded Thursday, hopping onto the coattails of a global rally after the Federal Reserve suggested a likely US interest rate increase in December amid growing economic confidence.
