LONDON: Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Wednesday awaiting minutes of the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting and on unease following the Paris terror attacks.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index lost 0.4 percent compared with Tuesday's close to open at 6,242.60 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.6 percent to 10,901.74 points and the Paris CAC 40 gave up 0.7 percent to 4,901.12.
