Indian state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp does not think its approval is needed in the $10 billion deal between Cairn Energy and Vedanta Resources, the Economic Times reported on Friday, citing an unnamed company official.

Czech-Slovak investment group Penta Investments is close to selling its Polish convenience store chain Zabka to private equity group BC Partners for up to 10 billion crowns ($565 million), magazine Euro said.

French group L'Oreal, the world's biggest cosmetics maker, is open to acquisitions in Brazil or India, chief executive Jean-Paul Agon told French daily Le Figaro.
