European stock markets stable at open

LONDON: Eurozone stock markets were steady and London's main index firmed at the start of trading on Monday.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 index edged up 0.02 percent compared with Friday's close to 10,993.24 points.

In Paris, the CAC 40 dipped 0.05 percent to 4,981.82 points.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.28 percent at the open to stand at 6,371.50.
