Meanwhile an oil tanker carrying 49,881 tonnes Diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim on Monday, 29tl1 August.

Berth occupancy remained at the Port at forty six percent on Sunday where a total of six ships namely C.V Maersk Georgia, C.V MSC Roberta, M.V Sapphire, M.V Tycoon, M.V loanthi and M.T Mykines are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Urea and Palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 57,552 tonnes, comprising 31,525 tonnes imports and 26,027 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried In 2,848 Containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during lost 24 hours.

Three ships C.V Maersk Georgia, C.V MSC Roberta and M.T Mykines & sailed out to sea on Monday morning.

Three ships C.V Sealand Washigton, M.T Golden Ambrosia and M.T Bunga Allium carrying Containers Chemicals and Palm oil are expected to take berths et QICT, EVTL and LCT respectively on Monday, 29th August, while two more Container ships C.V CMA CGM Chopan and C.V Ikaruga are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday, 30th August 2011.
