European stocks drop at open

LONDON: Europe's major stock markets fell in opening deals on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.65 percent to 6,319.70 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 lost 0.92 percent to 10,749.98 points, and the Paris CAC 40 shed 1.0 percent to 4,848.86 compared with Friday's close.
