IGP Sindh directs foolproof security on Eid-ul-Fitr

The Sindh Police Chief directed the Additional IGP Karachi, DIGPs of Hyderabad and Sukkur regions to take effective measures for ample security on Eid, said a statement.

He directed for making special security in the surroundings of mosques, Imambargahs and venues of Eid prayers.

Wajid Ali Durrani said security should be also beefed up at all shopping centers in the city.

Besides deployment of policemen in plain-clothes, watch towers should be set up at shopping centers to keep watch on miscreants, he directed.

He directed to conduct search at entry and exit points of the city and snap checking improve.

He also directed to increase deployment of motorcycle riders policemen and effective patrolling by the police vans.

The IGP Sindh has further directed the Additional IG Traffic to make effective traffic arrangements on Eid-ul-fitr to ensure unhindered traffic flow.

Wajid Ali Durrani also directed to deploy policemen at the routes leading to different graveyards.

He directed to make security arrangements in coordination with the City Government, law enforcement agencies and managements of shopping centers and mosques and Imambargahs.
