European stocks stable at open

LONDON: Europe's major stock markets opened steady Monday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.04 percent at 6,380.61 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.19 percent to 10,084.61 points and the Paris CAC 40 nudged 0.11 percent lower to 4,697.52 points compared with Friday's close.
