Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 77pc on Wednesday where a total of ten ships namely C.V ACX Margurite, C.V CMA CGM Wagner, C.V CSAV Pyrenes, M.V Shipphire, M.V Tycoon, M.V Afamia, M.V Loonlhi, M.V Gera Simos, M.T Remi and M.T North Contender are currently occupying berths to lood-offload containers, cement, urea, canola seeds, furnace oil and phosphoric acid respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood of 100,989 tonnes comprising 71,952 tonnes imports and 29,037 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,048 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port.

Three ships C.V ACX Margurite, C.V CSAV Pyienes and M.T Remi sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while two more ships C.V CMA CGM Wagner and M.V M.V Cera Simas are expected to sail later same day afternoon.

Four ships C.V Nicolino Maersk, C.V Glory, C.V OOCL Kobe and M.T Grace carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively on Thursday, August 25, while another container ship MSC Magali is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day.
