Tarbela dam 4.60 feet below to attain maximum conservation level

According to the data released by Indus River System Authority (IRSA) here on Wednesday, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1545.40 feet which was 166.40 feet higher than its dead level of 1378 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 153,500 cusecs while out flow was recorded as 111,100.

Similarly the water level in Mangla dam was risen to 1202.85 feet which is 7.15 feet below from its maximum conservation level of 1210 feet.

The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1202.85 feet which was 162.85 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 18,254 and 10,000 cusecs respectively.

Dam Management Authorities are advised to take utmost care and vigilance in further filling of both the reservoirs and strictly follow filling criteria and safety guidelines.

Meanwhile, the IRSA released 229,692 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 280,346 cusecs.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 134,722, 117,575 and 89,050 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 34,100 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 74,492 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
