British envoy Adam Thomson called on the Sindh CM and discussed matters of mutual interests at the CM House here, said a statement.

They also agreed to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and United Kingdom in culture, trade and social sectors.

The Sindh CM apprised Adam Thomson about details of various projects of the provincial government in energy sector.

He said progress is being made on Thar coal energy project due to efforts of the government as one of the eight blocks would start gas generation after Eid-ul-Fitr. The electricity generation from the gas to be produced from Thar coal would also be started by the end of 2013.

He said progress is also being made on various projects in energy sector including that of wind-energy and solar-energy, with the cooperation of other countries.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah said the government is determined to promote tourism in Sindh province and the cooperation in this regard would be appreciated.
