Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI : Three ships carrying containers and Palm oil berthed at Port Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid

Meanwhile two more ships carrying Containers and Fertilizer also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained at the Port at forty six percent on Monday where a total of six ships namely C.V MSC Magali, C.V MSC Sierra II, M.V Tycoon II M.V Afamia.M.V Gera Simos and M.T Indradi are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers,Cement,Canola Seeds and Palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 71,253 tonnes, comprising 53,211 tonnes import and 18,042 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,590 containers (TUEs) was handled at the port.

Two ships, Container vessel MSC Sierra II and Edible oil carrier SC Hai Kou sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.

Four ships C.V maersk kalamata,C. CSAV Pyrenes, M.V Ioanthi and M.T Remi carrying containers,19,506 tonnes Fertilizer and 65,012 tonnes Furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-3 and FOTCO respectively on Tuesday, 23th August. Container Ship Hanjin Los Angles is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, while two more ships C.V CMA CGM wagner and C.V ACX marguerite are due to arrive Wednesday 24th August 2011.
