European stocks close higher

PARIS: European equities closed up on Wednesday, with London's FTSE 100 index gaining 1.16 percent to finish at 6,631 points.

In the eurozone, the CAC 40 in Paris climbed 0.81 percent to end the day at 5,017.44 points, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 0.34 percent to close at 11,211.85 points.
