TOKYO: Japan's top oil refiner JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corp said on Monday it would refine 1.09 million barrels per day (5.37 million kilolitres) of crude oil in August for domestic consumption, up 2 percent from a year earlier.

Its July crude refining for domestic consumption was estimated at 848,000 bpd (4.18 million kl), down 12 percent from the year-earlier period, compared with the original plan of 954,000 bpd (4.70 million kl), due to delay in the arrival of crude after a typhoon.
