LSE downs by 90.14 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 90.14 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6262.23 points and closed at 6172.09 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.917 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.518 million shares, showing a downward slide of 601,260 shares.

While, out of the total 114 active scrips, 13 moved up, 19 shed values and 82 remained equal.

The Major Gainer of the day was Synthetics Products Enterprises Limited, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited and Crescent Star Insurance by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.72, Rs 2.08 and Re 1.00 respectively.

Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, Pakistan Refinery Limited and Fauji Cement Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 8,00, Rs 2.84 and Rs 1.93 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 595,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 446,000 shares and K-Electric Limited with 223,000 shares.
