Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Brisk shipping was observed at the Port where five ships C.V CMA CGM Cornel, C.V Maersk Atlanta, M.V Goeogioss, M.T Ali Goti and M.T Sichem Eagle carrying containers, saya bean seeds, diesel oil and palm oil took berths at qasim international containers terminal berth # 7 & 9, Grain & fertilizer terminal, FOTCO oil terminal and liquid cargo terminal respectively at Pot Qasim Wednesday, 23rd June, 2015.

Meanwhile three more ships carrying Phosphoric Acid, LPG and Steel coil also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was managed at the Port of forty seven percent on Wednesday, where seven ships namely C.V CMA CGM Cornele, C.V Maersk Atlanta, C.V MSC Positano, M.V Goeogioss, M.T Exquisite, M.T Sichem Eagle and M.T Ali Goti are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Soya bean Seeds, LNG, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 76,203 tonnes comprises 60,053 tonnes imports, and 16,150 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,134 containers (TEUs) ( 2,284 imports and 850 exports TEUs) were handled of the Port. Departures:

Three containers ships `CMA CGM Cornele; `Maersk Atlanta' and `MSC Positano' are expected to sail on Thursday afternoon (Today). Arrival Schedule:

Five ships C.V MSC Judith, C.V Maersk Simakou, C.V Margrit Rickmers, M.V Nord Imabri and M.T Black Peari carrying containers, Steel coil and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-3 and SSGCLPG Terminal respectively on Thursday, 25th June-2015, while two more containers ships `Fucon' and `Lily schulte' are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday, 26th June-2015.
