Govt taking necessary measures regarding energy crises

Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was taking briefing daily about the load-shedding in the country.

"Duration of the load-shedding has been cut down to seven to nine hours from twelve to fourteen hours by the incumbent government", he added.

He said that the government planned to supply minimum electricity to industries and maximum to households to provide relief to people during Sehri and Iftar times but unfortunately hot weather broke last ten years' record.

"Now the demand of electricity has reached to 21000 MW", he told.

He said that the power crisis had reduced considerably and electricity was being provided uninterrupted during Sehri and Iftar times.

He said that previous governments did not invested in transmission lines however the current government was serious to upgrade the current system.

"I give you assurance that 90 percent tripping issue has been covered", Musaddiq said.

He assured that the government was making all out efforts to upgrade the overall infrastructure of power generation and transmission line.

To a question, he said that law enforcement agencies were not only trying to maintain law and order in the country but also busy providing relief to masses during hot weather.
