LSE gains 62.05 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 62.05 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5973.65 points and closed at 6035.70 points.

The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.522 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.807 million shares, showing a downward slide of 284,800 shares. While, out of the total 89 active scrips 20 moved up, 11 shed values and 58 remained equal.

The top three Major Gainers of the day were National Foods Limited, Engro Coporation Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Company by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 6.85, Rs 5.50 and Rs 4.25 respectively.

Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Maple Leaf Cement Factory and Askari Bank Limited lost their per share value by Rs 8.30, Rs 1.33 and Re 0.50 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 267,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 234,500 shares and Pace Pakistan Limited with 198,000 shares.
