European stocks slip at open

LONDON: Europe's stock markets dipped in opening trade on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.06 percent at 6,784.68 points.

Elsewhere, Frankfurt's DAX 30 fell 0.36 percent to 11,025.08 points and the CAC 40 in Paris shed 0.18 percent to 4,849.12 compared with the closing levels on Monday.
