LSE gains 39.40 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 39.40 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5783.25 points and closed at 5822.65 points.

The market's overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.882 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.977 million shares, showing an upward move of 95,200 shares. While, out of the total 85 active scrips 20 moved up, 12 shed values and 53 remained equal.

The top three Major Gainers of the day were Shifa International Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and ICI Pakistan Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 12.49, Rs 9.30 and Rs 3.45 respectively.

Habib Bank Limited, Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited and Lucky Cement Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.00, Rs 2.21 and Re 0.46 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Southern Electric Power Limited with 2.616 million shares, K-Electric Limited with 571,500 shares and Japan Power Generation Limited with 262,500 shares.
