European stocks diverge at open

LONDON: Europe's stock markets diverged in opening trade on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.11 percent at 7,048.62 points.

Elsewhere, Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.07 percent to 11,685.66 points, while the CAC 40 in Paris shed 0.11 percent to 5,132.08 compared with the closing levels on Thursday.
