French bank stocks plunge, SocGen down 12 percent

PARIS : French banking stocks plummeted Thursday, led down by the giant Society Generale, which lost 12.09% after the

Stocks on the Paris exchange as a whole were down 6.0 percent but bank shares fell even more, with Credit Agricole losing 9.0 percent and BNP Paribas off 8.24 percent at 1415 GMT.
