Bail-ul- Mal arranges relief goods for rain-hit families

This was informed by Chairman Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Zamrud Khan in a meeting presided over by Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza here on Thursday which reviewed the rescue and relief arrangements for rain victims of the district.

Zamrud Khan informed that 15 trucks containing food stuff and other relief goods have been dispatched by his organisation for three thousand rain affected families of district Badin while arrangements of relief goods and food stuff have also been made for three thousand rain affected families of Tando Muhammad Khan and Mirpurkhas districts.

The meeting decided to make collaborated efforts by federal, provincial and district governments and Bait-ul-Mal to meet the challenge of providing relief to tens of thousands of rain affected people of the area.

The meeting also decided that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal will establish medical camps in the affected area of the district aimed to provide medical facility to the rain victims.

The meeting which was attended by MNA Shahnaz Wazir Ali discussed at length the measures to provide relief goods to the affectees in the relief camps as well as to those who are still marooned in villages of the district.

The representatives of Taluka and Union Councils also briefed the Speaker National Assembly regarding the rain/ relief situation in their respective talukas and union council.
