LSE gains 7.32 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Thursday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 7.32 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5458.22 points and closed at 5465.54 points.

The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 290,500 shares to close against previous turnover of 370,800 shares, showing a downward slide of 80,300 shares. While, out of the total 83 active scrips 5 moved up, 9 shed values and 69 remained equal.

The top three Major Gainers of the day were Mari Petroleum Company, Pakistan International Air Line Corporation and Maple Leaf Cement Factory by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 5.49, Re 0.32 and Re 0.30, respectively.

Shifa International Hospital Limited, Pakistan Refinery Limited and Byco Petroleum Pakistan lost their per share value by Rs 8.29, Rs 2.04 and Re 0.09 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 62,500 shares, Fauji Fertilizer Company with 50,000 and NIB Bank Limited with 37,000 shares.
