LSE downs by 12.72 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here on Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 12.72 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5507.35 points and closed at 5494.63 points.

The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 730,600 shares to close against previous turnover of 547.600 shares, showing an upward move of 183,000 shares.

While, out of the total 83 active scrips, 11 moved up, 10 shed values and 62 remained equal.

The Major Gainer of the day was Honda Atlas Cars (Pak) Limited, Pakistan Refinery Limited, and Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited by recording increase in its per share value by Rs 4.09, 1.85 and 1.65 respectively.

Maple Leaf Cement Factory, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) and The Bank of Punjab Limited lost their per share value by Re 0.47, Re 0.35 and Re 0.35 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 308,000 shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 242,500 share and Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 28,000 shares.
