LSE downs by 142.16 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 142.16 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5625.09 points and closed at 5482.93 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 440,300 shares to close against previous turnover of 868,100 shares, showing a downward slide of 427,800 shares. While, out of the total 69 active scrips, only one moved up, 33 shed values and 35 remained equal.

The Major Gainer of the day was Treet Corporation Limited by recording increase in its per share value by Rs 2.16.

Engro Corporation Limited, Pakistan Oil Fields Limited and Mari Petroleum Company lost their per share value by Rs 14.82, Rs 14.00 and Rs 12.96 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 95,000 shares, Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 84,000 shares and Pak Elektron Limited with 44,000 share.
