European stocks steady at open

LONDON: Europe's leading stock markets stabilised at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.21 percent to 7,015.97 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 index rose 0.45 percent to 11,864.40 points and the CAC 40 in Paris added just 0.06 percent to 5,176.67 compared with Tuesday's close
