European stocks rise at open

LONDON: Europe's main stock markets climbed at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.34 percent at 7,086.78 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 index won 0.38 percent to 11,984.39 points and the CAC 40 in Paris gained 0.35 percent to 5,210.70 compared with Tuesday's close.
