Free trade zone to be set up at Gwadar: Michael

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Ports and Shipping Kamran Michael has said that a free trade zone would be set up at Gwadar Port for tax free manufacturing.

He said 2,281 acres of land had been acquired for this purpose.

Kamran Michael said Gwadar port was the deepest along the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.

He said the federal government would soon inaugurate a project of international airport at Gwadar at a cost of 26 billion rupees.
