LSE downs by 30.88 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here on Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 30.88 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5509.67 points and closed at 5478.79 points.

The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.797 million shares to close against previous turnover of 626,100 shares, showing an upward move of 1.171 million shares. While, out of the total 85 active scrips, only 7 moved up, 14 shed values and 64 remained equal.

The major gainers of the day was Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, Honda Atlas Cars (Pak) Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 4.30, Rs. 3.73 and Rs. 2.14 respectively.

Maple Leaf Cement Factory, Cherat Cement Company Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited lost their per share value by Rs. 2.51, Rs 1.23 and Re 0.40 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.540 million shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 56,500 shares and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited with 49,500 shares.
