Pakistani trucks banned in Afghanistan to transit goods

CHAMAN: Afghan Customs have banned transportation of Afghan transit goods to the parts of the Afghanistan by the Pak

In protest against the move, Pakistani Truck Association stopped supply of Afghan transit goods to Afghanistan, causing long queue of vehicle outside the Chaman Customs.

Trade treaty stopped the Pakistani trucks at Zero point, Pak-Afghan border, asking them to offload the goods at Zero Point and disallowing them from moving to the cities of Afghanistan.

"It is a sheer violation of Pak-Afghan trade treaty, said the annoyed truck driver who was forced by the Afghan Customs officer to offload the goods on zero point.

We appeal to the Pakistani relevant authorities to take the notice and in line with the treaty; we should have access to the cities of Afghanistan, he added.
