Light plane crashes in Sydney street

Published Updated

"The plane could have very easily have gone through someone's house," witness Joe Porley told AAP news agency."Someone may have been hurt. I think it's lucky that it's ended up where it has ended up. From the way it's positioned, it looks like it landed on the street."

The crash knocked out power to some 7,000 homes and businesses, while police closed a road to deal with the single-engine aircraft, which was badly damaged. In December, a student pilot practising manoeuvres crash-landed in a garden
