Ticketless travel checking system in PR

An announcement on Wednesday said that the system has already been introduced in Korakoram Express on experimental basis and bring more other trains into the system gradually.

According to the new system, railway sources said the Assistant Manager will be deputed coach wise to look after the passengers of the coach. The train manager will supervise the work of ATMs.

An official of PR said that Korakoram Express has proved very successful as ticketless travelling has been controlled in this train.

He explained that under the new system, the Train Manager will be a grade-16/17 officer while the grade of Assistant Train Managers is under consideration.

The train manager will be overall incharge of his assistants who would also be responsible to check ticketless passengers. It may be mentioned here that presently the STEs work in grade-12 .
