LSE downs by 19.44 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 19.44 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6081.31 points and closed at 6061.87 points.

The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.751 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.334 million shares, showing an upward move of 2.417 million shares. While, out of the total 81 active scrips 14 moved up, 15 shed values and 52 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, Synthetics Products Enterprise Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 3.50, Rs. 1.28 and Rs. 1.15 respectively.

Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Attock Refinery Limited lost their per share value by Rs. 18.30, Rs. 2.40 and Rs. 1.83, respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 2.211 million shares, NIB Bank Limited with 628,000 shares and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 211,500 shares.
