LSE downs by 8.97 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 8.97 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6097.52 points and closed at 6088.55 points.

The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.334 million shares to close against previous turnover of 692,600 shares, showing an upward move of 641,600 shares. While, out of the total 82 active scrips 14 moved up, 18 shed values and 50 remained equal.

The major gainers of the day were Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited and Engro Fertilizers Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 12.17, Rs 1.80 and Rs 1.14 respectively.

Millat Tractors Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Pakistan Oil Fields Limited lost their per share value by Rs 9.50, Rs 4.77 and Rs 3.03 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 562,500 shares, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited with 170,500 shares and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 157,000 shares.
