LSE downs by 31.74 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 31.74 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6059.51 points and closed at 6027.77 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 852,000 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.248 million shares, showing a downward slide of 396,900 shares. While, out of the total 81 active scrips only 3 moved up, 22 shed values and 56 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Sazgar Engineering Works Limited, The Bank of Punjab Limited and Worldcall Telecom Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 2.06, Re. 0.54 and Re 0.04 respectively.

Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Honda Atlas Cars (Pak) Limited and Maple Leaf Cement Factory lost their per share value by Rs. 3.00, Rs. 2.30 and Rs. 2.24, respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 395,500 shares, Trust Investment Bank Limited with 124,500 shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 115,000 shares.
