LSE looses 91.47 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 91.47 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6612.05 points and closed at 6520.58 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.444 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.243 million shares, showing a downward slide of 779,200 shares. While, out of the total 105 active scrips 20 moved up, 20 shed values and 65 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Ferozsons Laboratories Limited, Fauji Fertilizers Company and United Bank Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 9.04, Rs 6.18 and Rs 5.74 respectively.

Nishat (Chunia) Limited, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited and Dewan Farooq Motors Limited lost their per share value by Rs 2.14, Rs 1.49 and Re 0.87 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 297,000 shares, Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 288,000 shares and Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 107,500 shares.
