LSE gains 48.85 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 48.85 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6043.36 points and closed at 6092.21 points.

The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.728 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.149 million shares, showing a downward slide of 420,750 shares. While, out of the total 105 active scrips 25 moved up, 19 shed values and 61 remained equal.

The top three Major Gainers of the day were Mitchells Fruit Farms Limited, National Foods Limited and Engro Foods Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 23.13, Rs 18.41 and Rs 5.26, respectively.

Oil & Gas Development Company Limited, Tariq Glass Industries Limited and Kot Addu Power Company were among top three, which lost their per share value by Rs 4.50, Rs 1.38 and Re 0.73, respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 752,000 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 143,500 shares and IGI Investment Bank Limited with 128,000 shares.
