Bilawal to contest next polls from Lyari: President Zardari
President Zardari said that Bilawal is coming to Pakistan next month and he will conduct meetings with the people of Lyari.
During his meeting at Bilawal House, President Zardari said that he himself will conduct meetings with the people of Lyari after two to three months.
The government will materialize plans for peace and development programs made for the area, Lyari, he added.
He also announced 500 rickshaws for the unemployed youth of the area. The president also directed authorities to shift all factories and godowns located in Lyari.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, provincial ministers and legislators from Lyari and high officials attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the progress on projects, including roads, sewerage system, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, flyovers and water supply schemes.
President Zardari underlined the need for strict compliance on projects, proper utilisation of funds and early completion of these schemes to benefit the people of Lyari.
Sharjeel Memon later told the media that the party was jubilant on the decision of the president to field Bilawal in Lyari. He said the decision had been reached after consultation with the party leaders.
