Afghan rock stars promote peace through music for Islooites

ISLAMABAD : Afghanistan based ‘White City Band’ enthralled the fun lovers of twin cities on late Friday at Kuch Khaas, C

The rock stars performed live to entertain the music lovers with their rock music based on the theme of promoting peace through music.

White City Band is currently touring Asia with their activity of "Big in Stans" and mesmerizing their fans with the popular singing style and instruments.

White City is a progressive and rock band, based in Kabul, Afghanistan. Exclusively formed by international expatriates, the current line-up consists of Ruth Owen (UK), formerly from the England based band Echobelly on bass and lead vocals, Travis Beard (Australia) on guitar and backing vocals and Andreas Stefansson (Sweden) on drums and backing vocals.

The rockers, who are also humanitarian workers, have been playing in clubs, concert halls, theaters and sometimes even outdoors in many parts of the world to promote peace through rock music.

The fun lovers termed the event as an excellent opportunity to enjoy the enthralling performance of the multinational vocalists and instrumentalists creating fusion of traditional and contemporary melodies.
