Talking to a news channel he said security, terrorism, cross border movement and all other issues confronting the region would be discussed in the SAARC conference. Its past decisions had generally good impact, he added.

He opined that peace in the region was very important today and the SAARC member states must think to overcome the problems facing the region including elimination of certain groups spreading terrorism.

Malik expressed the hope that all the SAARC member states would work for the progress, prosperity and development of the region.
