Turkey's lira dips to 2.26 against dollar, weakest since Nov 12

ISTANBUL: The Turkish lira weakened to 2.26 against the dollar on Friday, its weakest since Nov. 12, as the US currency was boosted by strong jobs data which strengthened expectations for monetary tightening in the United States.

At 1528 GMT, the lira stood at 2.2636, losing more than 1 percent from 2.2350 late on Thursday.
