Prices of vegetable on decline due to cut in fuel prices

ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetable have decreased in federal capital due to reducing petroleum prices.

The shopkeepers of fruits and vegetable claimed considerable decrease in the prices of vegetable due to cut in fuel prices. A shopkeeper, Naveed said that a week ago tomato was available at Rs Rs 80 per kg and now it is on Rs 60 per kg.

Similarly, the prices of potatoes decreased from Rs 80 per kg to Rs 60, onion Rs 60 per kg to Rs 40, Cabbage Rs 50 per kg to Rs 30, 'Bengan' Rs 60 per kg to Rs 40, peas Rs 100 per kg to Rs 80 and carrot Rs 70 per kg to Rs 50.

The prices of fruit and vegetables had also decreased in weekly bazaars, he added.
