'March suitable to keep leftover sugarcane crop'

LAHORE: The Punjab Agriculture Department has informed spring sugarcane crop growers that the month of March is suitable to keep the leftover crop for better yield.

A Punjab Agriculture Department spokesman said that a good quantity of buds sprang out from the leftover crop.

He said to have good yield of sugarcane, land was suitable where drainage of water was good.
