LSE downs by 21.99 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 21.99 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5309.95 points and closed at 5287.96 points.

The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.454 million shares to close against previous turnover of 969,600 shares, showing an upward move of 484,600 shares. While, out of the total 101 active scrips 22 moved up, 15 shed values and 64 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, United Bank Limited and The Hub Power Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 5.53, Rs 2.25 and Rs 1.91 respectively.

Treet Corporation Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and Fauji Cement Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.28, Rs 2.03 and Re 0.65 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Dewan Farooq Motors Limited with 227,000 shares, Kohat Textile Mills Limited with 200,000 share and K-Electric Limited with 185,500 shares.
