IRSA releases 125,729 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 125,729 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 86,255 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1529.07 feet, which was 148.07 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 40,300 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 70,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1235.00 feet, which was 195.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 15,226 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 104,315, 86,109 and 51,415 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 16,000 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 18,620 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
